Ignorance asked:

I have recently started riding a stationary bike, no incline or weight ability, but it will tell me how fast I am going. How fast should I ride if I ride from 45minutes to an hour.

  1. Bob A Says:

You want to ride fast enough to get you breathing elevated and you start sweating after 10-15 min. If you get out of breath or your legs start to burn slow down for a min or two. If you are not sweating or breathing hard you are not getting much out of it.

Find your maximum heart rate (do a google search to find out how) and get a heart rate monitor. Take your maximum heart rate and multiply by 0.8. The number you get is the heart rate at which you should be training for effective exercise.
(instead of a heart rate monitor you can also just measure your pulse/blood pressure after you’ve gone to your limit of exercise/breathing)
