Mainly due to the fact that we allowed our son to gain to much weight for his age. Anyway, I think for the best overall cardio workout an elliptical machine would be a better choice for the entire family. My son sits down all day at school so why would I want him to exercise sitting down. What do you think?

I’ve using the elliptical machine for 3 days now, I’ve never exercised before in my life so right now I can only go like 5 minutes before getting tired. I slow down like 1 minute and start going again but I find it much easier to do it without having to hold the two sticks on the side that move back and forth. Instead I use the handles in the front. Am I burning less calories this way or something?

I will be having total knee replacement in a couple of months on one knee. The other will be done a few months after that. Will I be able to ride my AirDyne stationary bike or use my elliptical machine? If not, I need to make plans to sell them.
